Project Manager Professional Exam

This test is designed for all professionals and covers the eight project management topics:

  • Scope

The requirements for the PMP exam certification are the satisfaction of PMP education and experience requirements, agreement to abide by the project management professional code of conduct, completion of a minimum of 35 contact hours of instruction that addresses all nine knowledge areas of project management, pass the PMP Professional certification examination.
Application can be made by downloading and printing the application form from the web site http://www.pmi.org/.

The PMP examination is taken in a 4-hour period.  The exam is made up of 200 multiple choice questions, broken down into the following policy areas:

  • Initiation - 11%
    Executing - 27%
    Planning - 23%
    Monitoring and controlling - 21%
    Professional and social responsibility - 9%
    Closing 9%.
