Physical Therapy Assistant Certification (PTA) Exam

• Proof of graduation from a physical therapist assistant program accredited center by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
• The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy and South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners must certify that the program is recognized and approved.

• The examination is a computer based exam (CBE).
• There are no penalty for wrong answers
• The exam score is converted to a scale of 200-800
• 600 is considered the minimum pass mark
• All questions are in multiple choice format
• There are 200 questions<
• The exam is administered by Thomson Prometric throughout the year at locations around the country
• The exam is four hours long

This is a computer based test and can be taken anytime.
