TOEIC - Test of English for International Communication Exam Details
The TOEIC test evaluates an individuals reading and listening skills in the English language, mainly checking your ability in the business world rather than for any academic purposes.
There are more than 4.5 million candidates worldwide who take the test every year.
TOEIC is used as a certification tool by more than 5235 international companies.
It is conducted by more than 2000 companies as well as large international groups in Europe.
The TOEIC test is developed in the United States though it is used as a proficiency test throughout the world. The test language is solely based on the American spelling and language. The listening sections have voices from Europe, America and Australia.
Exam Details
- The duration of the test is for 2.5 hours and consists of 2 sections.
Listening – 100 questions
Structure – 100 questions.
- The questions are all multiple choice questions
- You can take the TOEIC test as many times you wish to improve your scores.
- Score ranges from 10-990, the score accepted by many organizations vary according to their requirement, some organizations look for a score of 600 and above in the TOEIC test. Management positions may require getting 800 or more on your score.
