Certified Healthcare Facility Manager Exam, (CHFM) Test Preparation, Study Guide and Exam Details
Exam Description
The Certified Healthcare Facility Manager Exam is administered by the American Hospital Association. Certification is valid for a period of 3 years. The exam consists of 110 multiple choice questions and is computer based.
Registration
• Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree plus 3 years of associated engineering experience which must have been in a healthcare setting as well as 3 years of management, supervisory, or administrative experience in a healthcare setting; or
• Associate's degree plus 5 years of associated engineering experience which 3 years must have been in a healthcare setting as well as 5 years of management, supervisory, or administrative experience in a healthcare setting; or
• High school diploma plus 7 years of associated engineering experience which 3 years must have been in a healthcare setting as well as 5 years of management, supervisory, or administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
Fees
The fee for the CHFM exam is $275 for ASHE or AHA members and $425 for nonmembers. A fee of $100 will be assessed to reschedule. Declined credit cards carry a $25 fee.

• Administration
Other Information
• Applicants submitting an application before 3pm CST may schedule the exam for the following business day. Applications received after 3pm CST must wait two business days.
• Exams are offered at AMP testing sites daily with the exception of holidays and other scheduled weeks off.
