Need Help Studying for the ARDMS®?

     •  Applicants are required to pass two comprehensive examinations
     •  First Level is the Sonography Principles & Instrumentation (SPI) Examination.
     •  Once the SPI examination is passed, applicants may go onto earn multiple credentials without having to repeat any physical principles and instrumentation requirements.


Exam Levels:

The ARDMS® exam has two levels, the SPI and at least one specialty  exam

SPI exam

     •  120 multiple-choice (AIT) format questions
     •  2 hours is given to complete the exam


Specialty Exam

     •  170 questions in multiple-choice format
     •  3 hours is given to complete the exam
