Medical College Admissions - MCAT

The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) to assess the applicant’s capabilities in taking up the responsibilities that are required to become a doctor.

Exam Details


MCAT gives special emphasis on critical thinking, writing skills and problem solving capabilities of an applicant.
MCAT is conducted twice a year usually. in April and August  
Registration deadlines are generally six weeks prior to the test date
MCAT is a computer based test and scores are usually received 40 days after the examination.
You have an option of requesting the AAMC for not releasing the score cards to all the medical schools prior to getting the report card in-hand.
