Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialty Exam

The Computer-based format is conducted Monday to Saturday at 170 Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP) Assessment Centers located all over the world.
The current fee for the examination is $250 for first time candidates and $220 for re credentialing.
The candidates can apply online at the NBRC web site and on receipt of a response can schedule an exam appointment within a 90 day window.
Failure to schedule exam appointment within the 90 day period  results in forfeiture of fees.

NBRC Certification is for a period of 5 years and can be maintained or renewed by either:

Continued education
Retaking the same accreditation examination

The exam is 3 hours.

The exam consists of 140 questions in the multiple- choice format out of which 120 are evaluated for the present test and 20 are used as pretest questions for future use.
The exam focuses on the cognitive ability of the applicant and the questions are scored on the basis of recall, application and analysis.
