The National Council on Strength and Fitness Personal Trainer (NCSF-CPT) is administered by the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) Board for Certification.
The NSCF-CPT assesses an individual’s knowledge and expertise to ensure they can provide quality and safe service to clients. Being NCSF-CPT certified signals your aptitude and commitment to your profession to both peers and clients. It also increases your credibility as a professional personal trainer.

- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Although not stipulated as a requirement, it is recommended that you have approximately 100 hours of practical experience working in the health and fitness field.

- This is a computer based exam (CBE)
- A full tutorial for taking the exam is given before the start of the examination.
- You are given 3 hours to complete the examination.
- There are 150 multiple choice questions.
