Seven Smart Study Habits

The key to success on any test is not “cramming” the night before, but smart study habits put to use.

1. Don’t procrastinate
Procrastination can lead to test anxiety, which makes it very difficult to do well on a test. Make sure to schedule a sufficient amount of time to study for the test so you are relaxed and prepared when entering the testing location.

For Best Results When Studying For A Test

There’s a lot of advice available for those who have a hard time taking tests. Everything from getting plenty of rest the night before a test to playing tapes while sleeping has been suggested as a way to successfully pass a test. The only sure fire way to face a test with any kind of real confidence, is to know the material and feel prepared. Approaching study time and material with a simple game plan can bring the boost of confidence and preparedness needed to get that passing grade, and make test time a lot less stressful.

Pass Exams by Determining Your Learning Style

Back in the 1960s, people thought that there was only one way to study for exams. As such, teachers advised students to simply read the books over and over until the material was committed to memory. While this method of studying for exams worked for some people, others found it useless. Fortunately, as studies about learning styles became more sophisticated, we now know that there are many ways to study for an exam.
