If you are looking for the ExCET test Click HERE

This is the test that you will be required to take should you want to become a teacher in the state of Texas. Together with the ExCET, these tests measure the candidates knowledge against a set of established criterion. There are several criteria that need to be met before you can take any one of these tests to ensure the process stays genuine. You will be able to take the TexES test only if you meet the following criteria.

  1. You have the University Initial program that is usually offered as a part of a program that included student teaching
  2. You already have at least a bachelor’s degree and are seeking certification and are willing to take a University Post Baccalaureate
  3. You are willing to take any number of alternative degrees offered by a university.
  4. You are willing to go with an Alternative Certification Program which is a course for teachers and their administrators who hold at least a bachelors degree that may involve either some university course work during the candidate’s first year as an educator.

You also be allowed to take the test if you have been certified in another country, another state, or another United States territory.
