
Taking the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician Exam (CCHT) ?
The Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician Examination is administered by the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission. Certification lasts for three years.
Registration must be received 2 weeks prior to testing date or a $50 late fee is assessed.
Registration forms can be obtained online at the NNCC website.
Exam dates and locations are available at the NNCC website.
The exam fees are $195. Cancellation requests must be received two weeks prior to exam date. A late fee of $50 will be assessed to an application not postmarked two weeks before the exam.
Exam consists of multiple choice questions.
You will be given 3 hours to complete the exam.
Beginning in 2010, applicants will have the choice of a written exam or a computer based exam.

Exam sites are available in all 50 states.
Certification lasts 3 years.
To recertify, applicants must have worked at least 2,000 hours and obtained 30 hours of continuing education.
