
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Exam and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Exam Study Guides
In the US there are currently two levels of respiratory therapists, the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), both credentials are being offered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

- You must be a graduate and at least 18 years of age
- You must have completed a college level program in respiratory therapy, and reside in the United States or Canada.
- You must provide a college transcript within 60 days of passing the exam or you will forfeit your certified respiratory therapist license.

- CRT Exam is specifically designed for examining the knowledge, abilities and skills essential for entry-level respiratory therapists.
- The certified respiratory therapist license is the first level of therapy that new college graduates will achieve. The CRT license exam must be passed before you can take exams for any of the special licenses.
- This is a computer based test which is held at over 150 testing centers in US.
- Exams can be scheduled for Monday through Fridays, and specific times are noted on the NBRC website.
- It is highly recommended that an applicant should schedule his exam at least three days prior to the desired test date.
- The questions of test are basically related to practices and duties of a CRT.
- You must get at least 75% of the questions correct in order to receive your license.
