The CNA hands-on is a test of your skills in the setting that they will be used. For example, you may be asked to take and record a ''patients'' pulse or blood pressure within an allotted time.

If you have taken and passed the certification exam and have become certified or licensed in one state, you can retain the certification when you move to another state, but you would need to request reciprocity. Reciprocity is a request for the destination state to approve and recognize your certification from your old state. Contact the State Registry of the old state and request for a Application for Enrollment By Reciprocity form.
