The TABE test consist of a total of 225 questions for 3 hours 34 minutes. Individual subject content for TABE are reading (50 questions for 50 minutes), Math computation (40 questions for 24 minutes, applied math (50 questions for 55 minutes), Language mechanics (20 questions for 14 minutes), vocabulary (20 questions for 15 minutes), spelling (20 questions for 10 minutes) and language (55 questions for 55 minutes). TABE is available in five levels, Literacy, Easy, Medium, Difficult, and Advanced. First you need to take a short TABE locator test to access your skills and knowledge which determines the TABE test level.
TABE scaled scores range from 0 to 999. Most schools use 540 as their minimum TABE pass score, but each school sets its own minimum pass score.

The TABE test result is valid for two years.
Yes, candidates can re-take TABE after the approved waiting period. School differ as the the required wait time between tests. Generally you are only required to re-take the section that you failed, not the whole test.
